Clock Administration

This menu option enables the User to access and manage the clock/ terminal from the computer over the network without having to go to the terminal itself.

 

To access the Clock Administration menu:

Go to the 'Process', then 'Clock Administration' menu options.

The Clock Administration screen is displayed.  In the left hand section of the screen are listed the number of registered clocks/ terminals on the network each with the Clock Number and the IP address that has been assigned to it.  Notice that on the right hand side of the screen are 6 tabs, the default being the 'General Log' tab which is explained in the topic below. The other tabs, 'User', 'Clock Management', 'Supervisor Log', 'Files', and 'Work Codes' are explained separately as well.

Test Connections

To test the connection to any one clock/ terminal highlight the line where it is displayed and press the 'Test Connection' button.  When the connection test has been completed the message 'Connection Succeeded' displays in the right hand column of the screen (you need to scroll the screen across to be able to view the column).

If the connection test fails a message 'ERROR [Name of Clock/ Terminal and IP address]' is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
