Over a period of time, when data accumulates on the terminal, it takes longer for transaction downloads to complete. It is recommended that terminal data be deleted regularly. This may be each period or when there is a significant buildup of transactions on the terminal.
Save, or download, the terminal transactions/ clockings onto a flash drive or backup through the network.
There are two ways to clear data on the terminal:
Method 1 : Through the network
To do this:
•Go to the 'Process', 'Clock Administration' menu options
•In the left hand section of the screen select the terminal/ clock being cleared, then
•Click the 'Clear Log' button
•Click 'Yes' when prompted to continue
•The log on the selected terminal will be cleared
Method 2 : on the terminal/ clock
Physically go to the terminal whose data is being cleared. Then:
•Insert the flash drive into the USB port of the terminal to save the data that is on the terminal onto the flash drive
•Then delete the data from the terminal/ clock, to do this:
