Access control terminals activate magnetic relays which in turn can open a door or activate a turnstile.  Belina support consultants are required to implement access control systems to ensure that they function to specification.

Setup

The configuration of the system can be done to enable:

•Anti Passback which prevents an employee from clocking out where there has not been an in clocking. In situations where an gate or turnstile is installed it can prevent users from using cards belonging to other members of staff.

•Time Delay

Terminals

Access control is possible where the terminal has access control functionality, such as the TFT450, TFT600 and FA5 models.

 

Implementation

Most of the implementation procedures are done by Belina Support staff.  The client is asked to ensure that there are suitable electrical points at the terminal locations and to provide network cabling.

It is advisable to have battery backup to enable continued clocking and access during power outages.  The client is responsible for the supply and installation of this backup.
