Fingerprint/ Facial Capture

Capturing fingerprints and facial scans are made easy in the Belina Time Control Module.

The easiest way of doing it is to:

Enter the names and details of each of the employees in the Belina Time Control Module, then

Download these details to the terminal, then

Call up each Employee name on the terminal and have the employee record their fingerprint or face scanned.

Detailed instructions on how to capture fingerprints.

Facial Recognition

The steps required to capture facial recognition data is similar to that of capturing fingerprint data.  Use the notes above as a guide.

It should be noted that when facial data is being captured it should be done in a well lit room.

Ensure that the terminal is positioned at a height that is accessible to all employees.  Normally if the terminal is positioned at door handle level this is adequate.

When capturing facial data the terminal will prompt the employee to move to a position where a good image can be captured.  Prompts such as 'Move forward', 'Move Back', 'Raise you head a little', 'Move down your head a little', 'Move face slightly to the left', 'Move face slightly to the right', ' Focus your eyes inside the green box' (follow the movements of the green box on the screen).  When the facial data has been captured for each employee the terminal will prompt 'Thank You' and will then be ready for the capture the next employee's facial data.

If each employee follows the instructions given by the terminal/ clock then the process could be as little 9 or 10 seconds.

Access Control

If you have access control you need to adjust the time lag between the face recognition and the access control bolt being activated to allow time for the employee to move from the terminal to the door/ barrier.
