The Belina Time Control system is able help control the supply of meals in a canteen environment. Employees present, or those allocated to a valid shift, can print meal tickets from a printer connected to a dedicated clock/ terminal which is normally situated in the canteen area. This feature is especially useful where third party vendors are providing meals. The organization has control over the issuing of the tickets and is able to reconcile this number of tickets with the amount charged by the vendor.
The ticket printer is a specialized till slip printer that produces a small slip for the employee to tear off. The terminal/ clock used for printing meal tickets is a dedicated terminal that has specialized firmware. It cannot be used for general clockings of employees. The setup and installation of the terminal and the printer is done by Belina staff.
In order to get the ticketing system running it is necessary to setup the mealtimes, to do this:
Go to the ‘Setup’, ‘Ranges’, then ‘Mealtimes’ menu options
The following screen displays:
It should be noted that only two mealtimes can be setup per terminal/clock. This is a limit set within the terminal itself.
Enter details into the screen:
Clock: Use the dropdown menu to select the ‘Clock’ that has been allocated to Meal ticketing
Type: Enter a description for the mealtime eg. ‘Lunch’
From and To : Enter the time range during which meal tickets can be printed.
Cost : Enter the cost of the meal
Effective Date: enter the date from which the meals will be available to employees
Press ‘Apply’. This will save the meal type onto the table.
When complete press ‘Close’
Reports are available by selecting the ‘View’, ‘Attendance’, ‘Canteen’ menu options, these include:
