Data can be entered onto the terminal using the terminal keyboard. However, if there is a large amount of data it may be better to enter the data into the Belina Time Control Module and download the data to the terminal. Typing informtion on a full computer keyboard is far easier than using the terminal keyboard.

To type alphabetic characters on the keypad first press the asterix button ('*') shown in the bottom left hand corner of the keypad shown above. The * button is only pressed for the first character in the word or sentence to turn on the alphabetic character feature.
Having pressed * press the button with the letter you require, look at the screen to obtain the corresponding number for that letter (whether it is upper or lower case).
Examples
To obtain the letter b press keypad number 2 then on the screen notice b = 1 so press keypad number 1.
To obtain the letter z press keypad number 9 then on the screen notice z = 3 so press keypad number 3.
To obtain the capital letter T press keypad number 8 then on the screen notice T = 3 so press keypad number 3.
(Note: T9 stands for text on 9 keys, designed for input on 3x4 numeric keypads - it takes a bit of getting used to)
