Most often, it is Belina support staff that install the Belina PayrollHR software onto your computer, or network server. In exceptional circumstances you may need to initially install the software yourself, but more commonly Belina do the initial installation and you may just install future software updates.
The initial installation includes Belina PayrollHR Payroll, Belina Human Resources (Central and Inspire versions), the Belina Time Control and Belina Connect modules and the SQL database. Each of these modules is activated by purchasing registration. The Belina PayrollHR Connect Module is mostly used as a cloud-based system but can be hosted on-site.
Download Installation Software
Belina support personnel almost always do the initial Belina PayrollHR installation from an installation set that is prepared for technicians. This installation includes both Belina PayrollHR software and the recommended version Microsoft SQL Express. Subsequent software updates are mostly downloaded from the Belina website and installed.
To install an update download the file from the Belina Website. To do this follow the steps below:
Step 1 Load the 'Resources' page on the Belina Website: https://belinapayroll.com/resources-zw/
Step 2 Select the Update required.
Step 3 The Update button directs the User to 'Dropbox' where the update is stored. Press 'Download', then select the destination folder into which the update will be installed. If you are not sure where the original program is installed you could go to the desktop, look for the Belina Payroll icon, right click on the icon. Go to the 'Properties' menu option and contents of the field 'Start In' will describe where the program has been installed. Alternatively contact Belina for support assistance.
Step 4 Once the file has been downloaded, select and run it. Microsoft Defender may try to prevent you from installing the upgrade. Press 'More Info' and press 'Run anyway' and allow changes to made to your PC if requested.
Press 'Next'
Select the Installation Folder (normally Program Files) and press 'Install':
The installation then goes ahead with a progress bar indicating progress being made. |
Running the Installation/ Registration
Belina PayrollHR is a fully networkable solution. No additional data sets or costs are involved in making the software available to all the users and staff throughout your organization. If the payroll is networked and processing is to be done by more than one person we recommend the use of a 100mps hub with 100mps network cards in each computer. Peer to peer networking can be done on smaller payrolls only. |
