The Gross Pay Calculator is a Utility designed to calculate what gross pay an employee needs to earn to receive a specified net pay amount. The calculator is valid for single currency payrolls. Rounding differences may give small cent variations. It is possible to use the utility for multi-currency payrolls but the results give approximations only.
To use the Gross Pay Calculator
go to 'Utilities','Business Maths', and then 'Grossing Up Calculator'
Once it has opened, a disclaimer page opens up , click on 'Yes' to continue after reading the message
The Amounts Grossing-Up screen will pop up. This is the window in which you will be able to enter all the information and amounts that you need to Gross-up.
Use the ellipsis button to list and select the Employee to be considered.
For a single currency payroll:
- enter the net pay amount that you want to pay in the 'Desired Net (A)' field.
- use the dropdown menu to select the 'Currency'.
- put a tick on 'Apply current Payslip Transactions' to insert the other Transaction Codes to be included for grossing-up.
- use the 'Insert' button to add all these Transaction Codes.
- Click on 'Calculate' to display the Gross Pay amount required, shown in the 'Grosswedup Amount (A)' field.
- Click 'Save Amounts' to transfer the grossed up amount into the Basic field in the Employee Master.
