<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Payroll Module > Step 2 - Setup Global Parameters > Coinage |
Used if:
• |
employees are being paid cash, or |
• |
there is coinage rounding of Net Paid and/ or a Transaction Code. |
To setup the coinage denominations:
Step 1 |
Go to the 'Setup' menu, then 'Coinage'. You will then be presented with the Coinages currently setup in the payroll. |
Tick 'Round Net Pay' if rounding up to the lowest denomination is required. The system will now advance each employee an amount that will bring the Net Pay up to the lowest available coinage denomination on the Coinage Table. Notice the 'Rounded Pay' amount against each employee's 'Payslip Input' in the current period. |
|
Tick 'Recover Rounded Amount' if the rounded amounts are to be recovered in the next period. Notice the 'Rounded Pay Recovery' amount against each employee's 'Payslip Input' in the subsequent period. |
|
Step 4 |
Press 'Insert' to add a new coinage denomination. |
In the example, above, if we had not put in the $0.01 denomination the rounding of pay upwards would be to the nearest $1.00 (which would be the lowest denomination that can be paid in cash). Where there is no rounding the lowest denomination should be one cent ($0.01). In that way the exact amounts computed by Belina PayrollHR can be calculated and paid down to the cent. For rounding pay amounts as well as for the traditional coinage breakdown of cash being paid to employees.
