Where the value of a Transaction Code is based on Basic or another Transaction Code use the 'Base On' facility. For example a Transport Allowance could be setup to be based on the employee's Basic amount. It can also be used if the Transaction Code depends on another Transaction Code for example Transport Allowance may be 5% of the Basic amount
To set it up:
- Go to 'Edit' and 'Transaction Codes' menu options
- Select the Transaction Code and instead if entering an amount enter the percentage you want the transaction code to be calculating
- Then go to 'Dependencies' button and select the Transaction code you want to calculate from
- setup the % of the code/s and note that after selecting the code a pop-up page for percentages will display. Set the % as 100% if you want the Dependent transaction code to work out from the full amount of the basic.
- Click 'Ok'
- The system will work the amount automatically as per the figures on the payslip
