There are times where employee/s have been allocated particular shift rotations but now there are times where some are going to work different shifts from what has been setup on the rotation. If this is a temporary measure then it is best to keep the employee/s on their original shift rotation because you cannot change an employee's shift rotation during the course of a period. A shift Allocation forces the system to recognize the new shifts being worked and to not use the original shift rotation that was setup. New shifts can be allocated individually or in bulk. To do this in bulk:
Go to 'Setup', 'Shift Allocation', then 'Bulk Employees' menu options

The following screen displays:

The 'Available Shifts are listed on the left hand side of the screen.
Click on the particular shift being Allocated, then
Click on the date that the selected shift will be worked, then
Press the 'Assign' button
Continue to select shifts and assign dates, as required, then
Press the 'Employees' button to select the employee/s that the Allocation will apply to,
A range selection screen comes up that enables you select employees by tagging or by ranges.
When complete press the 'Apply' button.
To ensure that the process has been completed to your satisfaction go to the time card for an individual and check that the slots on the rotation have been replaced by the slots that were selected under the Allocation. To do this:
Go to the 'Process', 'Time Card Input', by Employee menu options.
