Power Failure

Power failures generally do not have an adverse effect whilst processing data.  If a process is being run at the time of the failure then it will be necessary to re-run that routine e.g. 'Calculation Routine'.

If a power failure occurs during the period end procedure it is necessary to restore the backup, that is done as a matter of course regardless of whether there is no apparent problems being encountered.  This should not present a difficulty since a backup should, normally, have been done immediately prior to commencing the period end procedure.

With erratic power supplies we suggest that the computer, or server, that is being used by Belina PayrollHR is protected using a Uninterupted Power Supply unit (UPS) of some sort.  Workstations on the network do not necessarily have to be protected with a UPS.  Workstations send instructions to the server where the processing will take place thus making the Server the primary computer to protect.
