Error Codes

Error Code 37

We got this error when we were trying to import a spreadsheet.  However the spreadsheet was open and caused the error.  We then found it difficult to get rid of this message pressing OK a number of times and then having to resort to Ctl, Alt, Del to get rid of it.

Error Code 35

This error code came up when deleting an employee.  We had created the employee by importing the details from spreadsheet.  We were working on a standalone computer so there is no way that it could have been 'changed or deleted by another station'.

Code 47 - Invalid File Declaration

Mainly caused by there being a difference between the version of the payroll and the underlying data.  This may occur if

old data is restored into an updated version of Belina PayrollHR or

if a SQL script which updates a table definition does not update properly.

In both instances contact Belina for support.

If the problem occurred after installing an upgrade then note:

what Version reference was running before the Version upgrade, and

What Version reference is currently running

If the problem occurred after restoring a backup then note:

Whether an Upgrade has been installed subsquent to the date that the backup was initially taken

What Version reference was running when the backup was taken

What Version reference is currently running

Communication link Failure (08S01)

Networking problem.  Occurs on a network workstation where communication to the Server is interrupted.  The causes can be several, but can often occur if:

the server has been switched off or restarted

a network cable has been unplugged or disturbed

a network card has become faulty

The remedy is correct the network error.

NB All unsaved data for the previous session will be lost

Solution is to make sure the server is on and the network is running perfectly then restart the payroll. If the error occurs on a stand-alone machine it means another program has stopped the SQL Server service from running. Go to Administrative tools from the Control Panel and choose Services. Try to restart the MSSQL Server service.

2.  Error generated when different versions of the payroll and the underlying data are different.
