P. 7

Through distribution of food parcels and personal protective clothing; financial assistance, moral and organisational support, laptops, cell phones, mobile network data and routers – which helped offices to stay connected and accessible to community members under conditions demanding observance of social distancing – we touched lives in unique ways and created collective memories we are proud to preserve and share.
The epidemic is not over yet, but we are optimistic it will be. The questions go on. Though there are now promises of vaccines, will our government ensure universal access? Could the idea of a new world order, whereby every aspect of our lives is driven by the fourth industrial revolution, finally achieve more prominence? It is now time to redouble efforts to empower local communities for a better future, drawing lessons from our story.
