SCAT gave R10,000 to buy food parcels for the vulnerable, and provided us with a laptop and cellphone, which helped with communication. We also worked with the Department of Social Development to identify the vulnerable, and the local government helped with food parcels.

We need to support each other. COVID-19 is real. Our organisation has to be the watchdog of the community. We helped where we could, but at times didn’t have that much force to help. We were under-resourced.
