lessons from working during The covid-19 pandemic
We learnt a lot, because in life we keep on learning until we die. I learned not to think that you know everything in life. By handing out the food parcels, we were able to see the conditions in which people were living. There was a lack of water, sanitation and service delivery, and there were no access roads. We learnt that we cannot rely on the councillors for information, and that we should rather go to the people and get to know their problems, rather than depending on councillors and the municipality.
COVID helped a lot, because it inspired me to do more work, to be more involved. I have grown spiritually, because of this learning process.
